Legal
Terms of use
The agreement between 0Skips and every account holder. It is versioned, and acceptance is recorded per account.
Draft. This page is not the document. It describes what the document will cover, so you can see the shape of it while an attorney writes the operative wording.
An attorney writes the operative wording. Nothing is in force until then.
What this document will cover
- Who we are and what this is
- Who may use it — students 13 and older in the Utah pilot, and a parent's approval before anything else
- The contest: categories, entries, coaching, judging, and how a winner is decided
- What a student owns, and what 0Skips receives — a licence, not an assignment
- Content rules
- AI use and disclosure
- Money: what is funded, what costs anything, and what money can never do
- Publishing on the student's own channel
- Safety and prohibited conduct
- Privacy, and where the privacy notice takes over
- Suspension, termination, and withdrawal
- Disclaimers, liability, and disputes
- How these terms change, and the effective date
In the meantime
How we protect students and what a parent needs to know describe how the product actually behaves today, in plain language. Where something is not settled, those pages say so.
Working draft in the repository: content/legal/terms-outline.md. It is an outline of intent for
counsel, not publishable text.
